Hammerman,
Splendid! I think you are correct. The place is not even on my map of the West Country, which makes it even better! It definitely looks like the right place though.
If you ever look for something, and I can return the favour by helping you, contact me. By far the most useful information I got from the community.
Thank you most sincerely.
Eltham Palace has been used for quite a few Poirot and Marple adaptations, like Death on The Nile and Three Act Tragedy.
I always thought that Five Little Pigs was filmed around Mothecombe and the estuary of the river Erme in South Devon. This is just 3 miles from Bigbury-on-sea where Evil Under the Sun was filmed. Apart from a narrow road to Mothecombe there is little road access to this estuary. Having walked the coast path here you can only wade across the river at low tide in a few places. Certainly a beautiful place.
john_c_hamiltonThe beach shots remain unidentified. I tried contacting Chorion or Margaret Mitchell (the producer of the film), but they all seem unaware of the location, and the producer rather uncontactable - not dead I hope. I suspect they are taken close to Dartmouth in South Devon (in an interview she conformed it was South Devon, and this is the only place that fits in the topography of the shots). But wherever it is, it's terribly tricky to find. I have been trying for the last three summers...

The Midland Hotel in Morecambe was used in Double Sin. You'll find much info on this impressive Art Deco hotel on the web (and it's been restored, so you can book a room now). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midland_Hotel_(Morecambe)

Being a big fan of the Poirot series AND of all aspects of Art Deco, I want more information about the filming locations, and also about the possibility to visit them eventually. As a serious search on Google didn't make me much wiser, can anybody help me?
Many thanks,
Patriek
