Julian Sands
Julian Sands has had an impressive career spanning many years in Film and Television. Sands rose to fame playing the romantic lead in James Ivory’s A Room With A View in 1985 starring alongside Maggie Smith, Judi Dench, Simon Callow and Helena Bonham Carter. He played the title role in Steve Miner’s Warlock, which also featured Lori Singer and Richard E. Grant. He reprised the role for the sequel Warlock: the Armageddon, which was directed by Anthony Hickox. Some of his other film work includes appearing in Steven Spielberg’s Arachnophobia, the title role in Dario Argento’s Phantom of the Opera, and Gordon Chan’s The Medallion alongside Jackie Chan and Lee Evans. He also appeared in David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara.
Sands has appeared in a wide range of acclaimed television series, including NBC’S Crossbones with John Malkovich, Fox’s 24, Warner Bros' Smallville and Showtime’s Dexter. Julian also starred in Fox’s Gotham series. In the UK, Sands has featured in BBC 1’s The Village and BBC 2’s We’re Doomed! The Dad’s Army Story playing actor John Le Mesuirer.
In Agatha Christie's Crooked House Julian plays Philip Leonides; Magda's husband,Roger's brother, and father to Sophia, Eustace, and the youngest Leonides, Josephine
