Dead Man's Mirror

A man locked in a room appears to have committed suicide, but all is not as it seems. Dead Man’s Mirror is an expanded version of the short story The Second Gong, which appeared in July, 1932 in the Strand Magazine. Poirot is summoned to the scene of the crime, the lavish estate of the seemingly suicidal Sir Gervase Chevenix-Gore, to interrogate a host of suspects.

Unlike the other stories published in the Murder in the Mews collection, it wasn’t adapted for TV until 1993, and added the characters of Captain Hastings, Inspector Japp and Miss Lemon.
