More about this story

Originally titled Poirot and the Triangle at Rhodes, the story is an early working of the themes involved in Evil Under the Sun. Whilst on holiday Poirot encounters tempestuous relationships and a love triangle that he suspects may end in murder.

It was first published as a book in the collection Murder in the Mews in 1937, which consisted of four novella length Poirot stories gathered in one volume. Adapted for TV as part of season one of Agatha Christie’s Poirot in 1989, the story stayed closed to the original and starred David Suchet as Poirot, the first season of a show that would run for twenty-five years.
