Quotes from And Then There Were None
As well as being Agatha Christie's bestselling novel, And Then There Were None is an ingeniously plotted story which the author was very proud to have created. In an Author's Note that precedes the text she muses on the difficulty of writing it, and her pleasure at the results.

As the imminent danger facing the visitors crescendos, and one-by-one they begin to die, the hunt for the culprit reaches fever pitch.
There was nothing hidden in this house, nothing concealed. It had no atmosphere about it.
We're not going to leave the island…None of us will ever leave…It's the end, you see—the end of everything…
They're going mad… They'll all go mad… Afraid of death… we're all afraid of death… I'm afraid of death… Yes, but that doesn't stop death coming…
This chilling story has enthralled readers, film and TV viewers, and theatre-goers since Christie wrote it. The plot has inspired plenty of new shows, crime novels and more.
